Native Americans were not even close to be a homogeneous, monolithic group. Pushmataha was a Choctaw, his direct rival, who later would also be his military adversary Tecumseh, was a Shawnee and during the council in questions there were other Native American tribes such as the Shawnee, the Creek, the Chickasaw, etc. That's why the answer would depend on which specific Native American I was.
