Explanation:
The impact of infotainment and narrowcasting on politics in the United States.
Infortainment
When news are broken down into what can be easily digested by the audience that means the show is now deciding what political part should the audience focus on and how they need to comprehend and deal with those issues. The impact this will have to the audience as the show bring only digestible political information is the audience are brainwashed since the TV select the news and decide how they present them. The audience may not be receiving the true original information since it come as rewritten and adjusted.
Narrowbroadcasting
When the news are focused on certain groups it intensifies the existing conflicts between political groups or parties. Political parties may clash even more as these focused news may focus on the idea of one political party and not the other.
Narrows views are presented instead of broader views and people remain stuck in those narrowed views.
The conflict may arise between Republicans and democracy for example if the narrowbroadcasting focuses on the viewpoint of one of these two groups without considering the opposing view this will mean the audience who receive the narrowbroadcasted news only has a narrow view and can not even debate the issues with someone who has a much broader view. They will be fixated on one view due to its reinforcement through narrowbroadcast.
