Lyndon B. Johnson was the 36th leader of the United States; he was sworn into office following the November 1963 death of President John F. Kennedy.

After getting down to business, Johnson propelled an eager record of dynamic changes planned for making an Extraordinary Society for all Americans. U.S. Inclusion in the Vietnam War: the Gulf of Tonkin and Escalation, 1964.  

On August 7, 1964, Congress passed the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution, approving President Johnson to take any estimates he accepted were important to fight back and to advance the upkeep of universal harmony and security in southeast Asia.
