Since the costa family hiked two miles in one direction. You have multiply 2+2 to find the round trip. You get 4, but that isn't the answer because it is in miles not feet. You have to multiply 4 x 5280, because there are 5280 feet in one mile. You get 21120 feet. Hope this helps. :-)
