Chaucer, did not really have a possitive inclination towards the feudal system. He represented Franklin with unpleasant features who belonged to the higher state, while Parson, who was in the lower class, was described with more likable ones.

Franklin did not care for others since his objective was sheer personal pleasure. Parson, on the other side, dedicated time to improve himself by studying.
