Well, my definition of interesting in this case bends the rule a little bit because the examples are chained. From my POV, that is what makes these situations interesting and kind of funny: multi-variable relations.
The first example is the number of cups of water for every cup for every cup of rice when you are cooking. That ratio is 2:1; the second example is linked with that same situation and is the amount of salt spoons for every cup of rice when you are cooking, my mom taught me that is 1/2:2, because salt really makes itself feel. You can continue linking more ratios to that one and define how many oil spoons per cup of rice you need when cooking. I usually follow the same measure 1/2:2.
