if x+y = 2y-x+1=5 pls can you give me a well explained solution​

Solution : x = 2

                y = 3

Step-by-step explanation:

x+y = 2y-x+1=5

x + y = 5   --------> equ 1

2y - x +1 = 5

2y - x   = 5 - 1

2y - x    = 4

-x + 2y = 4--------> equ 2

add equ 1 & equ 2

3y =9

y = 9/3 = 3

Put y = 3 in equ 1

         x + 3 = 5

                x = 5 - 3 = 2

Solution : x = 2

                y = 3
