How did a Philip Randolph get president Truman to change the way the military treated it’s black soldiers? apex

Respuesta :

Answer:

A. Philip Randolph had planned a large protest march in front of the White house in order to pressure president Truman.

Explanation:

A. Philip was one of the most powerful African-American voices in the early part of the 20th Century.  He was responsible for developing the first all-African American labor Union and was an outspoken critic of US government policies.

His work was not only related to better conditions for employees but equal rights for African-American workers.

He first worked with President Franklin D. Roosevelt to issue order 8802 which helped to end discrimination against African-Americans in factories.

He also successfully lobbied President Truman, who finally issued order 9981 to end segregation in factories.

He promised to fight against the draft if changes were not made.

Hope this helps :)
