Macbeth deals with the greed of Macbeth and his tragedy. He killed the real king of Scotland, Duncan, and became king himself. Then in his conviction of making the kingdom for himself only, he killed Banquo, his former friend and companion.All these, he did to make the prophecy of the three witches about his becoming king. But later, he died and Banquo's son became the king instead.
Hamlet is another tragedy of Shakespeare that shows the ghost of Hamlet's father coming this son and asking for revenge. He had been killed by his own brother Claudius, who now calls himself king and has married his brother's wife as his own. Hamlet took revenge of his father's murder, but also at the expense of his own life.
Finally, the romance of "Romeo and Juliet" which everyone must be so familiar of. This is also another tragedy where two lovers had to die just to be together. Romeo and Juliet were from two feuding families, so when they couldn't be together, they planned to try things out on their own. But this only led to the death of both of the lovers. Thus, it is one of the most famous romantic yet tragic depiction of true love.
