motion*

newton said

"An object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force"

meaning that objects hate acceleration (a change in speed, greater or lower) and wont do that unless something else does it for them, wether that be gravity, friction, or air resistance, otherwise it will keep going the same speed, zero to infinity.
