Along the coast (on both sides of the country) it is hot and humid, unbearably so in the summer. Inland communities at higher elevations such as Guadalajara (5200 ft above sea level) and in particular close-by Lake Chapala, are much dryer and more temperate.

The climate of Mexico differs from Canada because of the geographic regions.

  • Mexico is a tropical zone, the climate is hot and humid.
  • The humidity is high in Mexico because of the coasts that surround the country.
  • During Summer, the temperature gets high and is unbearable.
  • Canada is part of the Temperate Zone which is closer to the subpolar regions.
  • The temperate in Canada is cold and windy.
  • They do have summers, but they differ from Mexico.
  • Winters are cold and snowy.

Therefore we can conclude that the climate in both regions differs from one another.
