Why is it not considered heroic to fly in today's airplane?

Because its an everyday thing. Its not something new

It is because us americans always fly today unlike we did a long time ago. Flying is how lots of people get around and it is not considered very heroic. Of course unless you have a tramatic expeirience of flying.
