It is true that the journey starts from a water molecule or the water droplet and ends in the entire earth's hydrological cycle. Starting from the evaporation of oceanic waters to the cloud formation and then continuous absorption of the solar energy from water-laden clouds which upon being charged by electrons give forms of precipitation like that of hail, rain, sleet, and other forms. Upon falling on the ground the drops of rainwater either collect in the lake some get absorbed by the soil, some fall on vegetation and give rise to evapotranspiration. Some percolate deep into the ground through the porous rocks and further they reach the ground water levels and go deep into the caves and cavelets. This process is similar to water purification as aquifers are naturally occuring ducts deep in the earth etc. This adds the water back to oceans, lakes.
