There are three sections of  the small intestine including the duodenum present at the beginning of the small intestine, The jejunum which present between duodenum and the ileum that follows jejunum and connects with large intestine.

There are several differences and similarities of the mucosal lining of the duodenum, jejunum, and ileum including duodenum carry brunner’s glands,  jejunum lacks brunner’s glands and  ileum carry Peyer’s patches in their submucosal layer;  duodenum and  jejunum are having villi while ileum lacks villi; and all three the duodenum, jejunum, and ileum carry goblet cells in their mucus membrane.
