∫[tex]\frac{dx}{x}[/tex] = ㏑|x| +c

Proof:

let x = [tex]e^{u}[/tex]   take derivative for both sides

so dx = [tex]e^{u}[/tex] * du

substitute in the original function

∫du = u + C

u = ㏑|x|
