Hello Ms. Bipkins!

First of all, I wanted to thank you for you kind donation of a beautiful painting. It will adorn the hall of our hospital quite nicely and many patients and their families will feel more at peace looking at it. I understand that your decision is a tough one - all paintings are very dear to you so it might be difficult to let go of one of them. I would like to try and help you make a decision.

I would suggest going for painting number 3 - the one with the sea at night. I like this painting most because it is very peaceful. Families of patients who are undergoing surgeries are always anxious and scared as to what is going to happen to their loved ones, so I believe that this painting will help calm their nerves. Looking at this painting, they can simply imagine being on a beach at night, surrounded by the peaceful sea and an occasional wave. I think it will bring them serenity they definitely need at such a moment.

I would not go for painting number 1 because it seems very dark and foreboding. Painting number 2 looks very hectic and crazy-colored so it might make our visitors feel even more anxious than they actually are. Even though the colors are quite vibrant and happy-looking in painting number 2, I still think the third one would be more appropriate.

Whatever decision you make, we will be eternally grateful to you and this generous gift. We will cherish your painting forever and we know with certainty that it will bring peace and joy to our visitors! Thank you from the bottom of our heart!
