The shipping on Ebay can really be prohibitive. I've seen small items being shipped for 50$ and that's in US funds. That practically eliminates Ebay by itself.
Amazon has much more reasonable shipping costs and I think you have better guarantees with Amazon. With Amazon, you are dealing with a well established company. Unfortunately with Ebay, you are dealing with individuals who may or may not be honest.
