If the line is passing through these co-ordinates

Then Slopw of the line  = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

We have one co-ordinate (-0,-2) let it be (X1,Y1)

Let second co-ordinate be (X,Y)

Slope = -3 = (Y-(-2)) / (X-0)

-7  = (Y+2)/(X)

Y+2 = -3 (X)

Y+2 = -3X

ADDING -2 ON BOTH SIDES OF THE EQUATION

Y+2-2 = -3X-2

Y = -3x-2
