A ball is thrown straight up. At what point does the ball have the most energy? Ignore air resistance.

At the highest point of its path.
Just before it hits the ground.
When it is first thrown.
When the ball is halfway to the highest point of its path.
Everywhere; the energy of the ball is the same at all of these points.

Because air resistance is being ignored, the ball has the same amount of energy at any point in time. The energy simply gets inter converted between kinetic and potential energy as the ball gets higher and slows. No more energy is added or lost after it leaves the thrower’s hand.
