Explanation:
The basic refrigeration system consists of mainly four components---
1. condenser
2.expansion valve
3. evapourator
4. compressor
The condensation process takes place in the condenser where the refrigerant vapour condenses and changes into the liquid refrigerant. As a result of this condensation process, heat from the vapour refrigerant passes to the air, thus heat gets liberated to the outside atmosphere lowering the refrigerant temperature. The cool liquid refrigerant now flows into the liquid line.
In the expansion valve, the liquid refrigerant further gets expanded and gets the pressure gets decreased. As a result of decreasing pressure, the temperature also decreases. Then the Liquid refrigerant passes into the evapourator valve.
In the evapourator valve, the liquid refrigerant changes into vapour phase as it has to pass to the compressor. The evapourator is placed between the expansion valve and the compressor. It is in this evapourator where the heat is extracted from the source or object which needs to be cooled. After that the vapour refrigerant passes into the compressor.
In the compressor, the vapour refrigerant gets compressed. Therefore its temperature is increased as well as temperature is increased. The refrigerant vapour gets super heated in the compressor and is ready to pass s into the condenser.
