The area of a triangle as stated above is calculated through the equation, A = ab/2 where a and b are altitude and base, respectively. From the condition given above, a = 3b. The area is therefore,

                             A = 24 m² = (3b)(b) / 2

The value of b is equal to 4 which gives height equal to 12 m.
