the area of his backyard is 120 yards or 360 feet since one yard is 3 feet.  unit rate is it would cost $0.06 to cover each foot in his backyard. since he has to cover 360 feet multiply .06 by 360 and get 21.60. so it costs $21.60 to cover that guys backyard with grass.     ya welcome :)
