high concentration means you have higher amount of substance in the one place than in the another place. lower concentration means vice versa, example: diffusion (subtance move from higher to lower concentration) photosyntesis. because in the plant they have higher amount of oxygen so they transfer the oxygen to the lower concentration (the environment)
