The Great Depression was a hard time for Americans, they lost their jobs and could not support their families. There was stock market crashing, banks failed, and there was a big drought. After the bank failures and droughts, the Dust Bowl occurred. Families were struggling to have a strong shelter to prevent the sand tournedos from coming in.
