Answer: The correct answer is DNA ( deoxyribonucleic acid).

DNA is the genetic material of the living organism. It carries the genetic information in the form of nucleotide sequences. DNA is converted into mRNA ( messenger RNA through transcription), which is then converted into protein through a process called translation.

Thus, the blueprint for a protein is originally carried by DNA.

DNA (Deoxyribose nucleic acid) is a blueprint or the molecular sequence that information regarding the synthesis of protein.

Further Explanation:

Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) is a long chain of molecules that carries the genetic information of an organism. It is a double helix or two stranded a molecule that has a twisted structure. These two strands run antiparallel (opposite) to each other. It is lies within the nucleus of each cell.

Each strand is composed of a nitrogenous base, namely; adenine, guanine, thymine and cytosine. These bases lie in a sequence. The sequence present on the one strand of the DNA is complementary to others. These strands are inaccessible due to its twisted structure. So, the first step for the synthesis of protein includes the untwisting of the DNA strand. An RNA polymerase grabs the molecule and split it into two strands. It leads to exposure of base-pair that helps in building the RNA strands. The RNA is similar to DNA; the only difference is uracil (nitrogenous base) in place of thymine. It is complementary to the DNA strand. The RNA that contains information regarding the protein is called mRNA (messenger RNA).
