If this atom were to lose its outer shell electron the ten remaining electrons would

a. remain in their shells.

b. form an ionic bond with another atom.

c. shift so that one electron would move up to take the place of the lost electron.

d. attract an electron from another atom in order to form an ionic bond with that atom.

Respuesta :

Okay so basically there can only be 8 electrons on an outer shell.

If there were 10 remaining then it would be 2 on the first shell and 8 on the second. The second shell will be full.

So basically nothing would happen (A)
