What is 3a=16.5? Please show how you got the answer.

Divide EACH SIDE of the equation by 3 .

At that point, I always say

                   "Step quickly to one side, you you won't get hit
                    when the answer jumps up at you off of the page."

Answer 2

3a = 16.5

Divide both sides by 3

3a/3 = 16.5/3

a= 5.5

If you want to check the answer just replaced  A by 5.5

3(5.5) = 16.5

16.5 = 16.5

The answer is good
