A man is at present 7 times as old as his daughter. In 10 years from now he will be 3 times as old as his daughter will be then. How old is his daughter now?

lets assume daughter age = x years

man age = 7x years

after 10 years daughter age will be = x +10

aftee 10 years man's age will be = 7x + 10

now as per statement

7x + 10 = 3×( x + 10)

7x + 10 = 3x + 30

7x -3x = 30-10

4x = 20

x = 20/4 = 5

so daughter's age is 5 years
