The current extinction rate is not good, and it's only meant to get higher. The main and probably the only cause of exctinction nowadays are our actions.
We are the ones who cut trees, raise the temperature, melt the poles, contamine the water, spread diseases, spread invasive species, overhunt, overfish, exploit, etc.
There aren't many extinction-causing factors that don't lead to us humans, unfortunately.
