There are many times where a scared patient will enter your office as a healthcare professional and you will have to calm them down. If someone walks in thinking they are sick with something or in this case being surveyed by the government, you just need to calm down your patient and go over how it actually works not what they think in their mind.
Answer with Explanation
As a healthcare provider, I would try to suppress my patient's anxiety regarding syndromic surveillance. After this I would try to make my patient familiar with me by introducing myself and the hospital environment, so that he could express his anxiety. Finally after that, I will tell him about the importance of syndromic surveillance due to which he/she is feeling different from his/her behavioral attitude .
