If a right circular cone is intersected by a plane so that the intersection goes through the cone’s vertex as well as an edge of each nappe, as in the picture below, what shape is produced?
Im finding it a bit difficult to put it into words - but you can picture it in your brain. It is a line. The plane is just touching the surface of the cones.
