❖ 1. Prophase- coils form, chromosomes become visible and condensed, nucleolus disappears, nuclear membrane breaks down

2. Metaphase - spindle fibers pull duplicated chromosomes to middle of cell. Chromosomes line up in single file

3. Anaphase- each sister chromatid separates and they move to opposite sides

4. Telophase- spindle fibers disappear. Nuclear membrane forms around chromatin. Two identical nuclei are formed. Final phase of mitosis.
