If 1 =1.0, does that mean they are the same? My thinking: They are the same value but not the same number​

Answer: you are correct

Step-by-step explanation: 1 and 1.0 are not the same number, 1.0 just shows what 1 doesn't. 2 and 2.0 are also not the same number etc. etc.
