Can someone help me do this problem

[tex]6p + 5p + 5 = - 8 - 2(p + 12)[/tex]
Step 1: Distribute -2 between p and 12
[tex]6p + 5p + 5 = - 8 - 2p - 24[/tex]
Step 2: Combine like terms i.e (6p +5p) (-8-24)
[tex]11p + 5 = - 32 - 2p[/tex]
Step 3: Combine like terms across the equation (11p+2p)
[tex]13p + 5 = - 32[/tex]
Step 4: Subtract 5 from each side
[tex]13p = - 37[/tex]
Step 5: Divide out 13 from each side
[tex]p = - 2.8[/tex]
