If we have an area of 532 square miles, and we know that the population density of deer in that area is 11 deer per square mile, than we can easily get to the total number of deer.
In order to get the total number of deer in the are we only need to multiply the number of the square miles with the number of the population density of the deer:
532 x 11 = 5,852
So we get a number of 5,852 which means that the total number of deer in the area is 5,852 deer.
