100,000 * 1/100,000 would be 100,000/100,000 = 1
Using the standard method you would take any number except for 0 and multiply it by 10 to a power, that power being the number of zeros following said number or how many places the decimal point would have to be moved from 0.
Examples:
100 = 10^2
0.05 = 5*10^-2
10 = 10^1
All that said, the answer to your problem, as explained above, is 1 which is 10^0 written in the standard method
