Power going out story

I need help with a plot and the starting point is you wake up late, the power is out, and yeah.

Plz try to make it non complex since I have to write it in spanish

If you want to go all out it needs to be in the preterit tense also know as past

waking up to the freezing cold, cause its the middle of january. you need to try and find some way to keep yourself warm, you live in a small apartment with like two blankets so you decided to burn something. the apartment catches on fire and everyone in the building is dead, execpt for you. and now you live with the guilt that you killed over a hundred people to keep yourself warm.
