In this case, the genotype of the parent gene, and probability of the gene are:

The genotype - Bb (heterozygous black), bb (hozygous white)

Probability of (% and fraction) of white and black - 2/4 or 50%

  • The heterozygous (hybrid) black guinea pig = Bb
  • Hozygous (purebred) white guinea pig = bb
  • When these two are crossed the resulting genotypes are

cross: Bb x bb

   B      b

b   Bb    bb

b  Bb    bb

Offsprings would be= Bb, Bb, bb, bb

where Bb = black & white phenotype

and bb= white phenotype

So, Probability of (% and fraction) of white and black - 2/4 or 50%
