- movement of objects used to do work = mechanical energy
- created by vibrations in electric and magnetic fields = light

Nuclear energy

- Electricity can be produced using nuclear energy.
Heat
- The movement of small atoms, molecules, or ions in solids, liquids, and gases produces heat energy. From one thing to another, heat energy can be exchanged.
- Heat is the flow or transfer that occurs as a result of the temperature differential between two objects.
Mechanical energy
- The energy that an object possesses as a result of its motion or position is known as mechanical energy.
- Kinetic energy, or the energy of motion, and potential energy are two types of mechanical energy.
Light
- An example of electromagnetic radiation is light energy. Photons, the building blocks of light, are created when an object's atoms heat up.
