A summary of qualifications in a resume is a two or more sentence description that explains in few words what re your most important traits to be hired for a given position.

This qualification summary should reflect the best abilities the person has to perform well in a job and looks very attractive to the person (employer) who would read it.

This kind of summary can be presented in bullet list, paragraph format , statement or title, and it should talk about your skills, experience, abilities, education and accomplishments.

This is a random example for a person applying to be an English as a Second Language teacher and it will be presented in a bullet list format.

ESL TEACHER

• Over 10 years experience in English teaching.

• Ablity to enhance students performance.

• Excellent reading, writing, listening and speaking English skills.

• Professionalism in accomplishing teaching goals by using different teaching methods.
