Both Social Darwinism and Social Gospel were mind frames through which more fortunate people looked at those who were less fortunate.
However, there were very different.
Social Darwinism was the idea that poor people were poor because they were naturally weak. In essence, if you were poor, it was because you deserved to be, and we really shouldn't do anything to help you.
Social Gospel, though, was the idea that richer, more fortunate people had a moral obligation to help those poorer than themselves. Those who are rich should donate to charities, etc, in order to help.
