Myths help readers to understand their cultural and historical heritage; myths are part of people's collective memory. They also give the foundations to understand current religious practices. Therefore, any modern story may be deeper, if it has myths.
A. To mock superstitious beliefs. This is wrong because through myths people can undertand why humaniy has always needed to believe in something beyond reason.
B. To share facts about real heroes . Heroes have never been real.
C. To explain that evil is unavoidable. Myths include good and evil. They were not created just to explain evil, but to explain many other things, too.
