Alexander the III, also known as Alexander the Great, was the King of the Ancient Greek empire of Macedonia. As a child, he was tutored by famed philosopher Aristotle and studied many subjects. After the death of his father, King Philip, Alexander took over as king and general of the exceptional Macedonian Army. As leader of the army, Alexander was undefeated in battle with his military prowess becoming a famous legend. His skills in battle led him to be able to stretch his empire all of the way to modern Africa, India, and Asia. He reigned from 336 to 326 BC.
To this day his military tactics and battles are studied making him one of the most famed military leaders that ever lived.
Alexander the great was a Macedonian King who created a large empire and helped spread Greek culture.
