Relief Sculpture were very important in Egyptian Art because this art was part of their lives and their death too. It was a sort of religious and funerary art infact colorful painting and relief sculpture decorated the tombs of the Pharaons and of the Royal family.
They believed in the life after the dead so they used to take care of the dead person afterlife because the spirit would have helped them in life. Following the conventions the male statue used to be darker than the female ones and also in statues seated the hands were supposed to be collocated on the knees, and finally details kept surrounding a sense of rhythm between solid volumes and forms.
