This Passage is about a boy and his family who move to 360 acres of land in northern michigan that his father had bought. This amount of land made the family rich, but they were extremely isolated. This land could be passed down for generations without worry of the family running out of land. When they moved they had only enough food supplies for several weeks. Their water source was a creek far away and water had to be hauled to the cabin which was only fitted with a fireplace, no windows, floor, or doors. itw as decided that the windows, doors, and flooring were of utmost importance to living in this new place and were installed in less than 14 days.
