I need help writing a couplet, quatrain, or a combination of the two on Macbeth or A Rose for Emily. Would give more points for this but I only have 15

Here's a quatrain on Macbeth (more precisely, his ambition). It's a heroic stanza in iambic pentameter, with an abab rhyme scheme.

The throne, the blade were in his mind accursed.

The fates decreed that more than man he dare:

No blood, no crime, no throne could quench his thirst.
