STEP BY STEP:
First do the equation y2-y1 / x2-x1⇩
Y2-y1 -4 - 2 -6
_____ = _____ = ___ = 2
X2-x1 -1 - 2 -3
This answer gives you the slope. Substitute it for m in your standard form of y= mx+b⇩
y= 2x + b
Now use the slope and one point to find the y Intercept (I will use [-1,-4]) ⇩
-4= 2(-1) + b
-4= -2 + b
+2 +2
-2 = b
Now substitute that for b⇩
Y = 2x -2
