Five building blocks to industrialization are: pasteurization, telegraph, spinning jenny, steam machine, food canning.

- Pasteurization is a process of heating liquids to very high temperatures, while harmful bacteria in liquids are killed, and the liquid becomes sterile. A typical example is milk.

- Telegraph is a messaging machine that uses Morse code. It supports the transmission of information remotely, the exchange has become faster. The telegraph transmitted electrical signals through wires placed between the telegraph stations.

- The Spinning Jenny is a multi-spindle spining frame. It was one of the key factors of development during early industrialization.

- Steam engine is a machine powered by steam. It had a great influence on industrialization, the factories could be located anywhere, the location of the factories was no longer dependent on the close of the river.  Also, steam engine has improved transport.

- Food canning involves preserving food, which involves various steps. This ensures maintenance of nutrients and nutritional value at a high level. Healthy food means better health of workers, as well as greater profit from mass production and sale of canned food.
