The leader who oversaw the biggest territorial expansion of this Empire was Ogodei Khan, one of the sons of Genghis Khan,who ruled for nearly twelve years. His conquers were made mostly in the Chinese Empire and Central Asia, and influenced deeply in reestablishing the use of the Silk Route between West and East traders.
