In poetry what matters most to make a poem great and reach its full potential are the rythm, the meter, the sounds, the play of words, the message and the images that are used to communicate with the audience, or reader, who are experiencing the text. There are many ways to read and experience a poem, but maybe one of the best is through loud reading. This is because, aside from making the poem almost come alive through a person´s voice, mood and gestures, there are features of a poem that are underlined more easily through the loud voice of a reader. As such, some of these features that can be underlined and emphasized through loud reading are: B: the rythm is more easily caught, because the person, as he reads, emphasizes the rythm out loud, and so the audience can catch it, C: hearing the sounds of the words enhances the poem, this is because when reading out loud it is as if the words took on a life of their own, instead of being something flat on a paper, and third, D: it helps to communicate the poet´s intent before a large crowd.
